Founded in December of 1975, Shade Tree Garage began in an empty warehouse at the end of a dead-end street in Morristown, New Jersey. With little more than fresh paint, a couple of floor jacks, and hand tools, our team set out to build something special. Nearly five decades later, Shade Tree Garage has grown into one of Morristown’s most trusted independent automotive repair facilities, now proudly located at 171 Washington Street.

Shade Tree Garage provides complete automotive repair and maintenance services for all foreign and domestic vehicles. While we specialize in Euro Cars – Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, VW, Toyota, Volvo, and Nissan, we proudly service Ford, GM, Chrysler, Subaru, Lexus, Toyota, Volvo, and Nissan vehicles as well. Our technicians service fully electric and hybrid vehicles also. From simple oil changes to complex diagnostics and repairs, our goal is always the same: to keep your vehicle operating exactly as the factory intended.
Today’s vehicles are sophisticated machines, and we invest heavily in ongoing technician training and state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to stay ahead of rapidly changing technology. We are a licensed New Jersey Motor Vehicle Emissions Inspection Facility, a Bosch-trained service center, a GM Master Tech Shop, and a AAA Approved Auto Repair Facility, honored as AAA Approved Auto Facility of the Year in 2005.
