Scheduled Mercedes Benz Maintenance

A critical parameter to keeping the cost of ownership low on a Mercedes-Benz is to maintain it on a regular basis. Each Mercedes-Benz is equipped with a Flexible Service System (FSS) that accommodates the service requirements as a result of your individual driving style. With most drivers, the FSS indicates a service interval at approximately 10,000 miles. The following service intervals are recommended by Mercedes-Benz:

•“A” Service: This is recommended at 3,000 to 5,000-mile intervals and includes an oil and filter change as well as a check of all exterior lamps and horn operation, fluid levels, cabin filters, air pressure in tires, belts, brakes, hoses, shocks, front and rear end for wear, throttle, flex disc, and windshield wipers.

•“B” Service: Performed at 30,000-mile intervals and includes all the items listed in the “A” service as well as a servicing of the automatic transmission, fuel filter, and power steering fluid and filter.
